Way back in 2020 with lockdowns everywhere, new vulnerabilities were exposed, especially in self-sufficiency. Everyday and always-available foods became scarce and there was a surge in thousands of Australians suddenly desiring to nurture sourdough-starters, get close to chooks and, grow more of their own foods.
